When it comes to providing your clients with financial advice, we are different to most other Nottingham and Derby Independent Financial Advisers, or IFAs.
We provide a professional and completely fee-based advice service. We do not receive commission - any commission generated when financial products are arranged belongs to the client and can be used to offset against our fees for the advice we provide. Please see the benefits of using PFC.
All too often we find that in other financial services organisations the focus is always on new clients and existing clients are often forgotten. Not only will we advise your clients today, but we will also regularly review their situation to ensure their finances continue to meet their objectives. When we take on a new client, our aim is to work with them for the rest of their lives (and this often continues with their children and grandchildren after they have died). We find this way of providing financial advice a much more satisfying and rewarding vocation than the industry ‘norm’ of simply trying to persuade people to continually enter into new transactions to generate commission.
At all stages throughout the advice process, we can keep you involved by copying you in on any reports we issue to your client and can provide you with updates where appropriate. We often suggest to our clients that they include their Solicitor as a Trustee on any Trusts established. This can mean that you have more ongoing contact with your client, strengthening your relationship. Our financial advisers are well supported by a team of support staff who are highly qualified and who have a regular contact with all of our clients.
As a result of our qualifications, experience and culture, we qualify to be included on the SIFA Professional Directory of IFA’s, which is endorsed by the Law Society. Crucially, we also actively promote legal work to all of our clients and in most cases are able to ensure a reasonable amount of work is referred back to you. We have spent a lot of time getting to know the different areas of legal advice so that we are better able to recognise where legal advice is required.
Because of the way we provide advice, our service is not suitable for every client. We have identified that in the main, we are usually able to add significantly more in value to our clients than we charge in fees for those who have more than £100,000 to invest (or already invested in assets such as Pensions, ISAs and Deposit Accounts) or have an Estate worth more than £500,000 (£1 million for couples).
If you are able to identify a few clients who are High Net Worth, we would be more than happy to go through their circumstances with you generically and identify any opportunities available that you may wish to discuss with them at your next meeting. If they are interested in the planning, then we can arrange a joint meeting with them to take the matter further forward.
